Having moved to Ayrshire I am inspired by the post industrial landscapes.

“The Old Forts”, oil on canvas, 12″ x 8″. £760 + pp. The old pillars which supported the railway from the mine appear like old fortifications in the darkening landscape.
“The Fairy Funeral”. oil on canvas, 16″ x 12″. £960 +pp. Navvies who built the landscape line the route of the fairy funeral procession.
“The Fort”, oil on canvas, 12″ x 8″. £760 + pp. On the outskirts of the village of Muirkirk.

The old earthworks and viaducts of the railways and canals of the Ayrshire landscape inspire me to look at the massive physical work undertaken by the navvies and an ancient imaginary fairy history.
